Meet the florist

Cas Thibeau

Florist, table stylist, yacht stewardess, horticulture

About me

A little history...

My name is Cas, I've been working as a stewardess for the last 13 years on board Motor Yachts ranging from 26-60 meters.

Ive always been interested in design and working with plants. I have loved flowers and gardening since I was a little girl. Both my mothers parents spent so much time in the garden with me growing food, planting tubers or clipping hydrangeas for the arrangements throughout the home. My great grandfather was a florist himself, one of the best and most well liked florists in all of Chatham, Massachusetts.

My talents in design and floral expanded exceptionally over the many years I stayed on board super yachts. I was able to purchase and work with flowers almost daily on boats but after the COVID lock down in 2020, we purchased a home in Fort. Lauderdale and everything began to change for me. I started to see a different life for myself and a different outlet for my skills. Floristry was my strongest interest and I knew it was time for me to make a change. I decided to jump in and start a master Floral Design Program at Flower School, New York over the months of September and October 2021.

Flowers and horticulture are my passion. We have floral garden beds all around our properties along with the many botanicals I enjoy caring for. My husband and I have a microgreen farm based in Fort Lauderdale as well, where we grow and sell edible flowers and microgreens to yacht chef's, country clubs, whole salers and restaurants.

I am currently providing yacht florals of all kinds, cut flowers stems, living arrangements and small event florals. We are excited to serve our community here in South Florida through this winter season with all our new blooms!

Our Approach

Whats the difference between what Flourish Design is offering compared to other florists in South Florida?

We are all working with flowers, selling the same products and offering similar services. I believe what makes me especially unique is that my primary goal is serving my customers with care and consideration for time. Yacht stews always need things done yesterday and being ready to serve an industry that is on the go is a niche. Not only that but I am a yacht stewardess myself, so I have a very unique understanding of what the industry standard is for flowers and what works and what doesn't.

I also believe the respect for the environment, my clients and my product is paramount. Putting out exquisite arrangements (with environmentally friendly practices) for high end clientele, with the utmost care is what we're striving to accomplish at Flourish. We care about people and we want to make our stews proud!
